The creation of Bummas came about when we had our first baby boy. When your first arrives, you are given all kinds of advice:
"Use the wet commercial wipes, don’t use the wet commercial wipes, use gauze; use whatever is handy to block the pee; use another diaper to block the pee; don’t use that, use this; use powder to dry them off, don’t use powder-it contains talc and studies have linked talc to cancer.”
The one thing that was never mentioned was how to dry our little guy’s “stuff” off after the clean up. Our baby’s bum was just way too wet to put a diaper back on--and blowing down there until you’re blue in the face just wasn’t working. Thus Bummas were born. A soft absorbent, luxurious baby cloth to soak up all the wetness.
We were sent The Wild Ones set of 10 to try out!

Bummas was orignally developed as a drying cloth, it was supposed to be used while changing a diaper and using it cover up baby’s privates, but Bummas wipes are made for so much more!
I use Bummas wipes as cloth wipes, and washcloths, but not at the same time :]
First of all we have this sweet little messy face. I know that it is hard to tell from the picture, but she does have baby food all over her face.
Next I bring out the Bummas wipe.
And volia! No more messy face!! I was able to clean this sweet face and hands, and seat all with ONE Bummas wipe!! This is a first for me, usually it takes me a couple of wipes to get everything clean.
This is the full 5x7 Bummas wipe. One side it made of terry and the other is cotton. I really like these wipes because not only are they adorable and fun colored, but they also fit over my whole hand, allowing me to get a good clean grip!
They also cover almost all of baby’s head! If you are wondering why every picture I have of her is with her eyes closed, it is because my flash is too bright for her :[
The cloths are also good to use inside your wipes warmer and then pull out and use them on baby’s bum. Once again when cleaning baby’s bum, I still don’t have to use as many wipes as I did with disposable. I guess it tends to take a lot when you are steadily throwing them away, but with the Bummas wipes you just simply wash and reuse.
Appearance, Quality, and Style
I really like the appearance of the wipes. You don’t really see many cloth wipes in the shape of a rectangle, most of them are squares, and let’s face it, my hand is more rectangular than it is square.
The quality is what I like the most. With the soft velour terry cloth on one side and a nice cotton on the other, this will really make you feel like you are living on the high dollar side. It may feel good to baby’s bum, but it feels good to my hand also!
Not only to I love the different styles of Bummas, but I also love the different names.
From left to right we have the wild ones. the boys, the girls, the tropical ones, and the clam ones. My favorite is the wild ones, because you get one of every color.
ONE set of Bummas wipes retails for $15.00
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the Bummas wipes, and if I had to change one thing it would be to have more prints, like maybe some zebra, and giraffe, and maybe some polka dots :]
