Halo
Three angels – Gabriel, the warrior; Ivy, the healer; and Bethany, the youngest and most human – are sent by Heaven to bring good to a world falling under the influence of darkness. They must work hard to conceal their luminous glow, superhuman powers, and, most dangerous of all, their wings, all the while avoiding all human attachments.
Then Bethany meets Xavier Woods, and neither of them is able to resist the attraction between them. Gabriel and Ivy do everything in their power to intervene, but the bond between Xavier and Bethany seems too strong.
The angel’s mission is urgent, and dark forces are threatening. Will love ruin Bethany or save her?

OK, so here is the dealio. I first got this book when it was published. I started reading and then I would stop and then I would start back, and it was a love and hate relationship for about a year. I started it back up again a few days ago and I couldn’t understand why I had put it down in the first place. I really loved the beginning and I really loved the end. However the middle was a little slow. I think the only thing that pulled me through the story was Xavier! His quirkiness and smokiness along with his undying love was enough to make any girl swoon. He seemed to know what to say at exactly the right time. Bethany was a little awkward, but I guess that was because she was not human and wasn’t sure about her surroundings. Gabriel and Ivy seemed a little distant, but I just know that Gabriel was smoking also, because of the description. I wish we could learn a little more about him and all that he has been through. But yall know me. I am the biggest book boy flirt :]
I really did enjoy Halo, but I believe that it could have been shorter and less with all the middle gooiness.

Other Thoughts on Halo…
“I loved, loved, loved this book!!!!!! I fell head over heels in love with this book!!! There are so many negative reviews about this series, that I put it off and put it off. I never should have done that. Once I started reading it, I couldn't find anything I didn't like. This book captured me, and I fell in love with the world the Alexandra created. All of the characters were amazing, especially Xavier and Gabriel.” – Kristina Snyder {Rated 5 stars}
“Some books snap, crackle, and pop. Some books sizzle or shimmer. Some books stroll. They refuse to rush. The would rather you slow down taste, see, and feel. They resemble lazy Sunday afternoons. They prefer to marinate, stew, and build flavor. I can't promise Halo is the book for you. I can only promise you should try it when you are ready to savor a slowly simmered tale.” – Juju @ Tales of Whimsy.com {Rated 4 stars}

“When I first stared reading Halo I couldn't put it down. I was really interested in how the angels where taking to their new lives. Then I couldn't get enough of Bethany and Xavier. Their love was cute and I just wanted to read more and more. However, after the first half of the book I was a little bored. The bad guy doesn't even show up until the last third of the book and the only action I was really into didn't happen until the last quarter. I was really hopeing for a little more.” – MissHavoc {Rated 3 stars}
