{Review} Catching Fire

Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2)

Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge. Suzanne Collins continues the amazing story of Katniss Everdeen in Catching Fire, the second novel of the phenomenal Hunger Games trilogy.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After reading The Hunger Games, I was prepared that there was no way that the second book could live up to the first, but boy was I wrong. Catching Fire was 100% more intense than the first book, and I found my self gripping the edge of my seat while reading. I can not even begin to describe to you what this book meant to me or how good it was. It literally left me speechless. There is also not much I can say due to the fact that I will not give away any spoilers. Just be prepared to fall into more love and respect for the characters, you will hate the capitol more, and it will make you furious and then relieved all in one sentence.

This book has so many twist and turns that it leaves you craving more and never wanting it to end. I am a little scared to read the third book because then it will be over. Sorry that this review was a little short, but I didn’t want to give anything away.
