Angelfire (Angelfire, #1) by Courtney Allison Moulton
February 15th 2011
“When seventeen-year-old Ellie starts seeing reapers - monstrous creatures who devour humans and send their souls to Hell - she finds herself on the front lines of a supernatural war between archangels and the Fallen and faced with the possible destruction of her soul.
A mysterious boy named Will reveals she is the reincarnation of an ancient warrior, the only one capable of wielding swords of angelfire to fight the reapers, and he is an immortal sworn to protect her in battle. Now that Ellie's powers have been awakened, a powerful reaper called Bastian has come forward to challenge her. He has employed a fierce assassin to eliminate her - an assassin who has already killed her once. While balancing her dwindling social life and reaper-hunting duties, she and Will discover Bastian is searching for a dormant creature believed to be a true soul reaper. Bastian plans to use this weapon to ignite the End of Days and to destroy Ellie's soul, ending her rebirth cycle forever. Now, she must face an army of Bastian's most frightening reapers, prevent the soul reaper from consuming her soul, and uncover the secrets of her past lives - including truths that may be too frightening to remember."
I want to read this book #1 because it looks AMAZING and #2 it sounds AMAZING! :D Mainly because it is "achingly romantic, terrifying, and filled with blistering action" according to Goodreads so who wouldn't want to read it? Plus Moulton is a young author around my age and it would be neat to see her writing skill and to read the first she has ever published.
Haven by Kristi Cook

“One month into her junior year, sixteen-year-old Violet McKenna transfers to the Winterhaven School in New York’s Hudson Valley, inexplicably drawn to the boarding school with high hopes. Leaving Atlanta behind, she’s looking forward to a fresh start--a new school, and new classmates who will not know her deepest, darkest secret, the one she’s tried to hide all her life: strange, foreboding visions of the future.
But Winterhaven has secrets of its own, secrets that run far deeper than Violet’s. Everyone there--every student, every teacher--has psychic abilities, 'gifts and talents,' they like to call them. Once the initial shock of discovery wears off, Violet realizes that the school is a safe haven for people like her. Soon, Violet has a new circle of friends, a new life, and maybe even a boyfriend--Aidan Gray, perhaps the smartest, hottest guy at Winterhaven.
Only there’s more to Aidan than meets the eye--much, much more. And once she learns the horrible truth, there’s no turning back from her destiny. Their destiny. Together, Violet and Aidan must face a common enemy--if only they can do so without destroying each other first.”
This book, judging the cover, looks like one of those mysterious books that you are unsure what is between the pages. Reading the synopsis it tells us that Aidan has a secret. Reading that is what makes me want to know his secret and how it affects their destiny. It could be numerous things. For example he could be a vampire, wolf, or the Easter bunny. No one can tell from reading this synopsis what it is so we can’t label it into being a wolf, vampire or an Easter bunny book. That is what makes readers want to read this book, at least that is why I want to read it :D

“Clara Gardner has recently learned that she's part angel. Having angel blood run through her veins not only makes her smarter, stronger, and faster than humans (a word, she realizes, that no longer applies to her), but it means she has a purpose, something she was put on this earth to do. Figuring out what it is, though, isn't easy.
Her visions of a raging forest fire and an alluring stranger lead her to a new school in a new town. When she meets Christian, who turns out to be the boy of her dreams (literally), everything seems to fall into place--and out of place, at the same time. Because there's another guy, Tucker, who appeals to Clara's less angelic side.
As Clara tries to find her way in a world she no longer understands, she encounters unseen dangers and choices she never thought she'd have to make--between honesty and deceit, love and duty, good and evil. When the fire from her vision finally ignites, will Clara be ready to face her destiny?”
Why do I want to read this book? Um because it is about angels. Case closed :D I think this would be an amazing read and I have never read any of Cynthia Hand before so I think it would be a great experience.

“Clarity "Claire" Fern sees things. Things no one else can see. Things like stolen kisses and long-buried secrets. All she has to do is touch an object and the visions come to her. It's a gift.
And a curse.
When a teenage girl is found murdered, Claire's ex-boyfriend wants her to help solve the case — but Claire is still furious at the cheating jerk. Then Claire's brother — who has supernatural gifts of his own — becomes the prime suspect, and Claire can no longer look away. Teaming up with Gabriel, the smoldering son of the new detective, Claire must venture into the depths of fear, revenge, and lust in order to track the killer. But will her sight fail her just when she needs it most?”
I’m not much of a mystery type person, but add paranormal themes and a chance for young romance and I will grab it at first sight :D. This book also seems like a mysterious book, judging by the cover not the synopsis. It makes you wonder why does the girl look like that for? What is this book truly about? I look forward to reading this book and seeing how the author characterizes and develops the plot.
Wolfsbane (Nightshade, #2) by Andrea Cremer
2011
“Betrayal, loss, pain, fear. How many trials can love endure and still survive?”
I really wished we had a cover for this book because I know it will be SPECTACULAR! I recently read the first book in this series and completely fell head over paws for it. So it is only natural that I would want to devour the second one in the series.
Here are my 5 if you would like to join in on the craze then click the button below
Peace, Love, and of course WOLFSBANE!
Nice picks; it looks like angels are going to be the next big thing in YA.
