As you may know this month's book of the month challenge to read Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris is now coming to a close if you are wanting to submit your review then please email me the review or the link to the review. I will save it and add it to next month's giveaway. That brings me to next month's Book of the Month winner...

 Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf—her wolf—is a chilling presence she can't seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human ... until the cold makes him shift back again.

Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It's her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human--or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.”

So if you are interested then start reading and email me your reviews to ashleysbookshelf@gmail.com. Any ideas for September's giveaway prizes?

The crown above is what I received for the review. When I opened the package and saw the crown inside. I was so ecstatic and had to try it on right away. It fit perfectly! Once my parents and sister got home they all had to try it on also. Everyone loved this crown. The seller was amazing and offered to help me and answer any questions that I had. This is the item that I received. It is size 3-6 months. It is extremely soft and ADORABLE! When I saw this onesie I automatically thought of a baby at my church. We have VBS which stands for Vacation Bible School and this year's theme was High Seas. I think this onesie would've been cute on him with the little anchors. The tag is sewn it the back so that it will not irritate your little one's precious neck. It came to me wrapped in tulle with a ribbon along with the washing instructions.
INTERVIEW

Name: Kathleen (aka: Auntie Bubbles) My nieces gave me this nickname after I had a serious case of the hiccups. I guess it just stuck!
Store Name: Auntie Bubbles
Store URL: www.auntiebubbles.etsy.com

Tell us a little about yourself, the seller behind the store./ Why did you decide to open a shop? What does your shop mean to you?

I’ve always had an idea of what type of clothing I was looking for, but couldn’t always find exactly what I had in my mind. That’s when I purchased a sewing machine and started making my own clothing. When my sister started having little girls, I started sewing for them. I had so much fun experimenting with fun, silly, loud fabrics…. Stuff I couldn’t get away with, but a three year old could! My sister along with my friends with children always told me that I should start selling my creations. It took me a while to work up the courage, but once I started my etsy shop I can’t stop thinking that I should have done this earlier!

I’ve been working since I was 12 years old. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit. My first business attempt was selling rocks door to door in my neighborhood. I would put them on one of my mom’s cookie sheets and then canvas the neighborhood for customers! When that didn’t work out, I started a babysitting company. Eventually, I completed my studies in college and joined Corporate America.

My identity has always been strongly connected to my job title “I’m Kathleen, the babysitter”, ‘I’m Kathleen the Marketing Manager”. “I’m Kathleen the Regional Advertising Executive”. When the corporation that I was working for dissolved as a result of the economy, I was a lost…. Who is “Kathleen” now? “Kathleen the unemployed” simply would not do. I decided to just focus Kathleen the daughter, friend, sister and aunt… rolls that were sometimes left behind while I fought to get the next raise, promotion, award, etc. Now I get to spend a bunch of time with my darling nieces and nephews doing what I love the most, spoiling them rotten!

My etsy shop means the world to me! I’m thoroughly enjoying doing “my own thing”. I love being my own boss and using my creative side.

What's your store about? What do you typically sell or sell the most?

All of my designs are handmade with lots of love. It is important that all of my creations are machine washable and playground approved. I want to always make affordable clothing for kids to wear and not worry about getting it dirty. I make skirts, dresses and super fun separates. My niece, Alexandra, likes to call the separates her cha-cha diva outfits! I also have Ts with Ties for boys and onsies with ties for the itty bitty babies. The hottest items all depend on the season and where the shoppers are located. Since it’s always sunny in San Diego, I have to remind myself to make clothes for autumn and winter!

Random Questions, pick one or as many as you like and tell why.

Crayons or Color Pencils—Crayons!! I love mixing the colors together. I also love the feeling of smooth crayon wax on paper… oh and the smell! There’s nothing like the smell of a brand new box of crayons!

Anchovies or Pepperoni— Neither. I love a pizza with fresh mozzarella, roasted veggies and basil. Yummmmmy!

Pink or Blue-- Both! AND green, yellow, purple, chocolate brown, orange… etc

Cherries or Blueberries— Blueberries! I love blueberry jam, blueberry pie, blueberry pancakes, blueberry muffins, blueberry smoothies, blueberries in yogurt… blueberries in everything!

Flip Flops or Sneakers— I am officially a flip flop girl! Ever since I moved to Southern California my toes have wanted to be free!

So now since we seen what Auntie Bubbles has for cute little Boogers to wear now lets teach them where to stick there boogies!

I have a story that I would like to share with you all. Close your eyes and imagine with me.

"Imagine that your riding down the road to the grocery store with your little Booger...ummm I mean child. He is all fussy and angry and then the next thing you know he is quiet almost too quite. So you decide that maybe he just fell asleep. So you get to the grocery store and you go to get him out of his seat and you notice boogies everywhere. On the window, on his clothes, and even on your brand new leather seats. When you thought he was asleep he was actually playing with his boogies and making boogie masterpieces. You reach to get a baby wipe and then realize that you left your diaper bag and other important items at the house. So that means no diapers, and no change of clothing." This is how you day would be without Boogie Wipes.

Now would you like to see how your day with Boogie Wipes would be?

"While your driving down the road you hand your child a Boogie Wipe and mention that if he puts his boogies in there then he will be a good little boy and who knows he may even get a surprise sometime soon. When you get to the store he shows you all his new found boogies and you show him how to throw it in the trash can. Then you go about your business. Boogie Wipes = No Mess!"

For a limited time only if you purchase 3 Boogie Wipes you can send in the UPCs and receive a free Boogs:

Everytime your little Booger sees this he can remember to put his boogies in Boogie Wipes! Boogie Wipes are made with saline to dissolve boogies (mucus) caused by the common cold, allergies or otherwise booger-filled kid moments. Extra soft, alcohol, phthalate and paraben free, Boogie Wipes are available in Great Grape, Fresh Scent, Magic Menthol and Simply Unscented. Recommended by pediatricians as a gentle, effective alternative to a dry tissue. They even have adult wipes too!

GIVEAWAY!

So the Boogie Mom's are letting me give my readers (2) packs of 30-count wipes to one extremely lucky WINNER! You can choose from any of the flavors above!

Book Tour : One Bloody Thing After Another

One Bloody Thing After Another by Joey Comedu
160 pages

Jackie has a map of the city on the wall of her bedroom, with a green pin for each of her trees. She has a first-kiss tree and a broken-arm tree. She ...more Jackie has a map of the city on the wall of her bedroom, with a green pin for each of her trees. She has a first-kiss tree and a broken-arm tree. She has a car-accident tree. There is a tree at the hospital where Jackie’s mother passed away into the long good night. When one of them gets cut down, Jackie doesn't know what to do but she doesn't let that stop her. She picks up the biggest rock she can carry and puts it through the window of a car. Smash. She intends to leave before the police arrive, but they're early.

Ann is Jackie’s best friend, but she’s got problems of her own. Her mother is chained up in the basement. How do you bring that up in casual conversation? "Oh, sorry I've been so distant, Jackie. My mother has more teeth than she’s supposed to, and she won't eat anything that’s already dead." Ann and her sister Margaret don't have much of a choice here. Their mother needs to be fed. It isn't easy but this is family. It’s not supposed to be easy. It'll be okay as long as Margaret and Ann still have each other.

Add in a cantankerous old man, his powerfully stupid dog, a headless ghost, a lesbian crush and a few unsettling visits from Jackie’s own dead mother, and you'll find that One Bloody Thing After Another is a different sort of horror novel from the ones you're used to. It’s as sad and funny as it is frightening, and it is as much about the way families rely on each other as it is about blood being drooled on the carpet. Though, to be honest, there is a lot of blood being drooled on the carpet

ARC Tour : Waking the Witch

Waking the Witch by Kelley Armstrong
[Women of the Otherworld, #11]
309 pages

The orphaned daughter of a sorcerer and a half-demon, Savannah is a terrifyingly powerful young witch who has never been able to resist the chance to throw her magical weight around. But at 21 she knows she needs to grow up and prove to her guardians, Paige and Lucas, that she can be a responsible member of their supernatural detective agency. So she jumps at the chance to fly solo, investigating the mysterious deaths of three young women in a nearby factory town as a favor to one of the agency's associates. At first glance, the murders look garden-variety human, but on closer inspection signs point to otherworldly stakes.

Soon Savannah is in over her head. She's run off the road and nearly killed, haunted by a mystery stalker, and freaked out when the brother of one of the dead women is murdered when he tries to investigate the crime. To complicate things, something weird is happening to her powers. Pitted against shamans, demons, a voodoo-inflected cult and garden-variety goons, Savannah has to fight to ensure her first case isn't her last. And she also has to ask for help, perhaps the hardest lesson she's ever had to learn.

The little bow is adorable! It measures three inches long and is the perfect size for a headband. It's also so cute in a little ponytail. It is on an alligator clip and is heat treated for fraying. My Thoughts:

I thought this product was completely adorable. I was ecstatic when I saw it. The shoes are nice and soft and every baby would be lucky to be styling in them. I know I would if they were in my size.

The headband is made out of pantyhose so it is super comfy and doesnt leave those marks on your baby's head like most headbands.

The bow is cute and nicely put together. It is also interchangeable with any of her other bows.

The seller wwas willing to work with me and answer any questions that I had. She was nice and polite and didnt give me in trouble or attitude. Not to mention that the delivery was super fast, and it comes on a cute card with the seller's website for future reference.

All in all I give this seller an whopping 5 out of 5 for her AMAZING PRODUCTS and the SERVICE!

and also the elixir of Excellence!

1. Tell us a little about yourself, the seller behind the store.

I am a SAHM to two beautiful little girls. I love to learn and create new things. I love bargain shopping and all things crafty.

2. What's your store about? What do you typically sell or sell the most?

My store is about giving the customer boutique creations at an affordable price. I love beautiful children’s clothes and bows, but I am not able to shop at the expensive boutiques myself. I want to give my customer beautiful things for their children that are affordable.

I’ve sold more pillowcase dresses and bows than anything else. The best thing about pillowcase dresses is that you can dress them up or down, wear them with long sleeves or tights. Also, your little lovely can wear her dress as a top when it gets too short. And who doesn’t love bows!

3. Why did you decide to open a shop?

I decided to open my shop because I love to sew and create. I love to make my girls matching outfits and bows. My friend and family kept telling me I should sell my creations. When strangers started telling me the same thing, I decided maybe it was a good idea.

4. What does your shop mean to you?

I love having the chance to create beautiful things for people. I put 100% into each item I make. I love having my etsy shop, it’s just a lot of fun!

5. Random Questions, pick one or as many as you like and tell why.

Crayons or Color Pencils- Color Pencils because they are much neater than crayons.

Anchovies or Pepperoni – Pepperoni because anchovies gross me out.

Pink or Blue- Pink, because I’m a girly girl!

Cherries or Blueberries- Cherries, Yum! They are my favorite fruit!

Flip Flops or Sneakers- Flip flops almost all year long. At least till my toes start getting numb.

**Fine point: I received no payment for this review all I received was this product to review. Everything said was my own personal opinion.**
